I don't know why schools don't call the cops more! Definitely if murdered I think they would call? Who knows? Never want any negative press. I bet the principal might ask me to help drag the body off school property. Then, maybe we would call the coppers.
They might want to revise the rules..only 10 days..wow! LOL, have a great day :-)
and I would have been first if that damn shinny thang didn't catch my eye!!!
That was a rather uuuuhh morbid thought to leave us with! No worries.. I loved it!
Hit40 - I'll call you if I need help rolling someone up in the rug. Then we'll call the popo.darsden - 10 days is short enough to make me think some kids would consider it. I hope they know the legal system will be a lot tougher on them. And that sun flare is flare-ing.dizzblnd - It was such a random rule and it really made me laugh. Glad you liked it!
Great, what else can't we do?
I am so glad you are on break Beth!
That's so funny that they even put murder and kidnapping in the rule book. Much less say it is a 10 day suspension.
O!M!G! When I turn to a life of crime, I am totally coming to your town!!!That is hilarious!
i'm intrigued by the "recommendation" of expulsion... that kind of leaves the door open for the murderer/kidnapper to only get suspended.
Sheesh - what's wrong with saying, "We're turning you over to the authorities, you rotten little sh!t, and furthermore we hope you're tried as an adult."Works for me.
Only 210 rules? I'm anxious to see Rule 211 - how many days suspension would one get for setting off a nuclear weapon in your school? Oops - that's probably rule 212: Rule 211 probably covers Pirates at sea! What would we EVER do without a good bureaucracy?
Yeah, but jeez, that "recommendation for expulsion" is a bit heavy, ain't it?:)
At first I thought this was for the teachers - LOL!
That's hysterical. Oh, the things I could do with that if I were still teaching the thugs at the HS level. Happy school vacation.
Marinka - I know, I know. We are so limited.Pseudo - This past week was my break and it flew by! But I am glad I was out to deal with the flood issues in town.Jason - What really got me is that it has been in the handbook for several years and I just realized it. It takes time to read all those rules.Michel - Just let me know when you do turn to the life of crime. I know of some gang members I can hook you up with.Deb - And I wonder how many students will read that rule and think that the suspension will be it.Jan - You sound like you could be an administrator!BE - I went and looked and you know what? Pirates at sea AND nuclear explosions are covered. I'm going to make some suggestions at the next board meeting. This should be fun!Braja - Heavy is right! :)Laura - They don't even cover murder in the teacher handbook. That could be yet another recommendation.only a movie - I hope you had a great weekend! I thought the same thing when I read that.
10 days....that's kind of stiff, sheesh! :-)
If homicide is 10 days, kidnapping should be Saturday Detention at most.
That is SCARY! Beth, you need to find another job!
So funny if not so sad and typical of where we're heading in America.
Kulio - You just slay me. Well, not really. Because that would be 10 days suspension for you, young lady.Jason - Great idea. I'll make the recommendation.Gaston Studios - Jane, it really is scary that they felt the need to cover it. I googled other student handbooks and there are others with statements of the chain of events in case there is a homicide.Reinvent Dad - I hear you, I hear you. We have so many parents afraid to be parents. But that is another post. And probably a soapbox one at that. Thanks for visiting! Wow! You have triplets!
