Thankfully, the majority of my teachers respect a bit of smart arsey-ness. And they'd probably have to while working with me. That or beg to transfer to another school
Yesterday, one of the Kindergarten teachers was playing a song and being silly with the kids during a rhythm and movement lesson. When she tried to show the students how to do the swim
He whined, "I can't do this swim thing unless I have on my bathing suit."
And the teacher just looked at me with a BIG smile and said, "God, I love this kid!"
And this, this is what makes kindergarten so much fun!
What's with the pythagorean math problem in the corner? Just square the legs and add them up then take the square root. Were you trying to get us a little math to warm up with for the day? Let's up it a little tomorrow with something like a little differential equations.
Now really. . . how could anyone expect him to "swim" without a bathing suit???
That kid may be smarter than his teachers!!!
There is no logic like kindergarten logic. I think I love that kid too!
Kindergarteners rule. They are too funny.
AND floaties! Don't forget the floaties ;). This guy's a stickler for authenticity.
OMG, that post by Hit 40 is SCAREY! Who knows that stuff? That's going to scare Michel away from your blog forever!
Frankly, I think the kid's right. You teachers are putting way too much pressure on him to expect him to swim without a suit!
There is nothing like Kindergarten logic and I love it!
lucky he didn't feel like skinny dipping
So, if he is doing the mashed potato.....
The kids really do say the darnest things, don't they? Too funny!
p.s. thanks for your nice comment on my wt. loss blog, I'm going to try that mental exercise!
Awwwwwe...that's so sweet. You guys clap your hands and yell "DANCE MONKEY, DANCE!" while the funny little kindergarteners (how the hell do you spell that?! SHIT! Now I probably have to go back to school and dance for you freaks!) try to make you happy!
I blame our public school system. (or do I blame the catholic school system?) EITHER WAY! I blame someone!
PS Hit 40 quit showing off with your godless math skills! Its rude to the rest of us who thought the answer was marked on the question!
Beth! She is creating a hostile learning environment!!! I recommend suspension.
Is this kid "Little Johnny?" Oh, x is 5cm. I like doing the "here it is" joke.
You should post some 2nd grade journal topics.
This post helped explain the songs with the record player. (I remember it being a record player) It also explains going around the room like airplanes.
You must like those perks.
Especially seeing the rip off band called "Kindergarten Airplane" that later became "Kindergarten Starship."
You should call them "Kindergarten Airplane."
Now I have an urge to build a city on rock and roll.
I shall go over to Michel's blog and gaston studios!!! To not know that it is a pythagorean triple (3,4,5 or 5,12, 13) is shameful. They must stay after class for some extra tutoring. I will call their moms right now.
Funny I can't do the swim if I'm WEARING my suit...I have to do it in the buff...ewww I just made myself queasy!
I love this kid too, my first thought is that he must be on the spectrum somewhere. Damn, I spend far too much time in special ed land...
How funny is the imagination that he can't pretend to swim without a bathing suit?? KIDS!
I love the math problem in the corner! Only because I'm clueless when it comes to math and the answer shown is the answer I would give!
Well, he has a point! I love kindergarten! My daughter is in kindergarten and it feels like it's training for stand up comedy! lol!
pssst...(I forgot the t on that about 4 times...I swear I wasn't trying to pee on your blog...heeheehee! What I was trying to say is that I am having another entry opportunity for the giveaway on tomorrow's post! Hope to see ya there!!)
Hard to argue with that.
