One day down, only one more day to screw up

Tomorrow is the last day of school for the students for this school year. It is the time of the year when emotions are hanging by a thread on every one's sleeves.

I had to go to court today about a child who is being deemed unruly. And unruly is probably one of the kinder words used to describe him. He was expelled for the remainder of the year. That saves us from dealing with him for today and tomorrow.

After letting my feelings get hurt yesterday because really I only shared the tamer of the insults I let the faculty know about all the comments from the anonymous dissenter in my school blog. The good news is the faculty seems to be pulling together more. And we needed that. I'm over being upset about the untrue, mean accusations but I can't help but wonder who the snake in the group really is. It is just one of the perks that goes with the territory. Teachers have the same issues with a few of the parents. It just is what it is.

I'm ready to get my sense of humor back. Lack of sleep and too much to do has taken a toll this week.

But I still have it better than this little guy who was found on the table in the garden.

What the hell happened to him?

And maybe I'm twisted, but this fetal position looks comforting.

ohhhh!!!!

Last day for us tomorrow too.
Then everyone can breathe and remember that one of the best things about teaching is that there is always an end to it, and always a new beginning.

Glad you're somewhay over the faulty faculty member that complained.

The bird in the fetal position is disturbing, but as you mentioned slightly comforting.

It's always the worst not knowing who complained!

Yay for school being done.

That poor little thing.

(the bird, not the kid)

Glad you guys will be firmer on the dissenter.

Oh that poor little bird. And poor me, I have three more weeks. I think I'll curl up in a fetal position.

Glad you are done. Sounds like it is time. Let us know how the extra sleep feels!

I always find it interesting that those who say mean spirited comments are always anonymous. Every mean comment I have received has been anonymous. Creeps!

Here's wishing you a very happy summer break!

I'm late getting around and was reading backwards so I had to stop and go back to last post to catch up. Uh, I hate it when you feel like there's a snake in the group. Glad you're over it. You know you were doing something nice for them and if they don't understand, screw 'em. Oops! Did I say that out loud? Yes, I DID, Dammit! Your school gets out earlier than schools here. Glad it's almost over (at least the kid part). Here's to the start of a fantastic summer! Cheers!

Shit. Now I'm sad for a bird and I seriously HATE birds!! WHY do you do this stuff to me!?!?!

At least you get a summer break. I am forced to work through it-- with YOUR stupid senator. I've got some opinions to spout! that is for sure!

Um, I think Blogger just ate my last comment. Hope the effect is not like your extra fibre intake!

Well I hope your summer goes better than the birds for sure!!!!!!!

Death is peaceful. Guess, that's why the position seems comforting.

As for the complaints, they do come with territory. Take it easier, as there are still more good people than bad ones.

That bird photo is startling, yet lovely. I hope your summer is a stress-breaker. Here from David's.

Am still playing catchup and don't know how I missed this post! Am so glad your group is pulling together and that you can look forward to a fairly stress free vacay... but that poor little bird, OMG!

Congrats on POTD!!!!!

Most people who post not so nice comments tend to do that anonymously and I think that is because they don't have the nerve to come forward and address an issue -if it really exists -in the first place. I'd much rather deal with people and issues in a face-to-face confrontation so I know then if it is real or perceived. Go and enjoy the summer vacation and come back to school in the fall, all rested and ready to resume.

Wow...powerful ending image and certainly quickly adjusted my perspectives! Thanks to David for directing me here through POTD.

I came for a visit from David's site. I'm a teacher also, but we've 12 days left.
12 days, 12 days, 12 days.

I HATE ANONYMOUS comment-tors. Ya' got no guts? Then say nothing!!!

Here from David's and congrats on your post!

SAD little bird! I do wonder what happened? Perhaps it was a dissenting blogger?

Ignore those who are anonymous. They are nobodies. Jealous, nameless nobodies.

Long ago I heard that dogs don't bark at tombstones. If you are moving, doing anything, you'll always be barked at. Let it be a reminder that you are alive and well! ♥
