Full Moon Fever

Last night, I looked at the moon. I'm sure most people thought lovely, beautiful thoughts while my immediate reaction was "uh oh!"

Barbie Sticker girl had a rough day today. Her mother brought her in late. We heard Barbie girl before she even graced the front doors. That typically isn't a good sign. But I will say that I'm proud of that mother because it would have been so much easier to stay home as the girl was demanding.

Before we could even get Barbie girl good and settled, Pretty, Pretty Princess started up. This is our last week with Pretty, Pretty Princess as she will soon be going to a special psychoeducational center until she is calm enough to come back to our school. She seems to be trying to reaffirm our decision to move her to the other school. I definately got my exercise by holding her until she quit deciding to make our lives miserable.
At least she didn't smell like urine today. So there's the silver lining.

My mind is tired. My mind is tired almost more so than my body. And my sense of humor might have already gone to bed. So maybe I should do the same.

I don't want to type this out loud... but the full moon did not really get to us today. Go freaking figure. I have the full moon calendar right next to my desk so I'll know when to expect things to get more rocking and rolling than usual.

*Psychoeducational center* - I've never heard that term before! Who knew? Up here we just say *day treatment*. Same thing, different labels.

I hope you get some rest from all that running.

Night night. If you are having trouble getting some shut eye from your hard day, I've got some Phenergan suppositories that I can give you. It says may cause drowsiness on the bottle and everything...

Sounds like you do need a drink. And a massage.

Doh! Beth! i KNEW there was something off today. it started with the sleepy, defiant girl in my first class of the day and went downhill from there. i should have known. monday + big ass full moon WAY too close to the earth for its own good = sleepy, defiant girl stays up until midnight and then falls asleep at page 2 of "What's the Weather?" and then proceeds be all bitchy when told she can't sleep in school, and that her homework tonight is to go to bed at 7 PM.

.....you have kids who smell like urine??? i'm going to shut up about my cheetoh-smelling kid forever now. kristina p's right: you DO deserve a drink, and a massage.
