For the record, it is a huge neighborhood. And filled with very pricey homes
Mr. Happy's Friend: "Yeah. That was hard trying to find my way out of this crazy neighborhood."
Me: "Did you get lost out here one time?"
Mr. Happy's Friend: "Well, yeah. Your son and another friend blindfolded me, drove around and then dropped me off with a bicycle to see if I could find my way out." (OMG! This sounds like a great idea!)
Me: "So, how did you do?"
Mr. Happy's Friend: "I think I did okay but I want to be sure you know that the cow costume was not my idea."
Just what you'd expect from a bunch of honor graduates, eh?

LOL! Love this post! Reminds me of my high school days!
Thank you for the comment on my blog today! Knowing what others have opted to move forward with in their pets lives make our decision easier. They're like kids, for pete's sake!
Great blog, Beth!
Isn't it great how many things you find out about long after the fact? Makes them a whole lot easier to swallow, and your requirement to punish is out the window. If only all their crazy doings were like that.
Summer has just started!!! OMG!! What will they be doing by August!!
Oh my gosh! That is awesome!
Cow costume? I must be stupid, I am lost LOL!
Let the games begin... It's only the START of summer! Sounds like a blast!
That is exactly the type of shenanigans I'd LOVE for my son to be up to...
Amy - I know you'll make the right decision for your sweet kitty. As for high school days, there are some stories I hope my children never hear.
Fragrant Liar - If only. Sometimes I can just laugh. Other times I want to strangle them.
Hit 40 - Now you are scaring me!
Midwest Mommy - It was funny. I really would have loved to have heard what the neighborhood had to say about it.
otin - They are random. You aren't lost.
Joanna - They are funny!
Erin - Give it some time. Do you want me to sent the cow costume to you?
I can just see the conversation in the neighborhood:
Muffy: Um, Chad, did you see what I just saw?
Chad: The cow on the bicycle?
Muffy: Yeah, that is so tacky.
Chad: The cow?
Muffy: No, the fact that it was a Schwinn not a Vespa.
Ah, good times.
At least they didn't let him out in a field with an angry bull.
BTW, I wonder if Braja has a cow costume?
lol,who hasn't this happened to? :) Hilarious story, thank you for the laugh
Funny! Glad you had a good time at the conference and glad you're home.
well you can't study all the time right?
Chris - Exactly! It would have been fun to hear.
Comedy Goddess - I wonder about the cow costume for Braja, too. Should we take up a collection?
Isabel - I've always heard about people doing this but it hasn't happened to me. And I've never worn a cow costume. Man, I haven't lived!
anymommy - I am so glad to be back from the conference, too! Thanks for the welcome home!
Jessica - But you'd think they do because that is their *reason* to go out. "Mom, I'm going to go study..."
I think HAPPY has the beginnings of a good life ahead. He took a bad situation, lived through it, has a tale to tell and holds no grudges. And those snooty neighborhoods hold as much terror as the bad ones. Don't slow down or you'll be shot and ask no one for directions!
hahaha...it's so much fun to find out about your child's creativity from someone else :-) I remember being told, "I saw your son at the very top of a pine tree yesterday - he was holding on with one hand and waving like crazy with the other." I laughed, but I am SO glad I didn't know about that moment at the time.
Mr. Happy is SO WELL ROUNDED!
the cow costume quote was fabulous
My son would probably have a lot of fun hanging out with your son.
Oh how I love good clean kid fun!
hahaha!! At least it is not drugs and booze...just cows.
Don't tell braja
LOL lost in a ritzy neighborhood with a bike and wearing a cow costume? Did I get that right? LOL where is the Utube video when you need it! Or a bovine GPS!
The cow suit wins.
HA! a cow suit???!!! That's great. maybe i should do that to mike when he misbehaves!
yes, it's that whole thinking outside of the box that the smart ones are so good at!
