Does this mean I am losing it?

Last night, I cooked dinner for Mr. Strong's birthday. While I was getting the salad ready, I looked and looked for the big salad bowl we have. After looking in all the cabinets, I gave up and put the salad in a smaller bowl.

This morning, I was playing around with my camera and my new lens. Mr. Strong often puts funny messages on the chalkboard. This one says, "For Sale Children - Slightly Used" in case you can't ready his elementary handwriting. He is this funny everyday and I never want to stuff a sock in it.

Suddenly, I noticed a large bowl beside the pig.

Dang it! There was the bowl I was looking for the night before. How could I have missed that?

It has been holding our hodge podge of fruit now for about 6 months.

Maybe I should put Miss Poopy in charge of the kitchen. Does anyone have any good recipes for backyard birds?

I have scoured the house looking for my sunglasses while having them folded in my shirt the whole time! I hate that!!!!!!

If that is "losing" it, we are all in trouble. I've done similar as well..and often.

My sunglasses were on my head and holding back my hair.

If you're losing it, that means I completely lost it some time ago.

Oh no, is this one of the things the lady does on that Alzheimer's commercial after putting her keys in the fridge ;-) I kid!

Pale Rider and I have now gotten to the point we will only look for something for about 2 minutes; after that "it must be with the tennis shoes and bathing suits" (which we lost over 2 years ago.

Though I did find the bathing suits about 1 month ago. Seems I never unpacked them from the ginormous suitcase with WAYYYY too many pockets and zippers.

Still no clue on the tennis shoes.

otin: I usually find my glasses on my head after searching.

I do things like this on a daily occurance...will look for my sunglasses that are on my head...will be hollering for one of my little people to come and I will have them already buckled in their car seat...they find this quite funny. Drives me crazy!

Ms. Poopy just gets cuter and cuter! She likely stole your salad bowl and then placed it in an unsuspecting location.

I'd keep my eye on her if I were you.

I think I might need a chalkboard...I got shit to say!

This morning, I ran upstairs to 'get something' and by the time I got there (this is a REALLY small house), I found myself looking in the mirror and saying to myself 'what the hell am I up here for?'.

It's that bad.
We have the 6 mo old fruit too. Your child is indeed Funny.

Happy Sunday :-)

Otin - My husband loses his reading glasses all the time. And he only has 72 pair!

Nancy - Thanks for making me feel better. I can now look forward to losing my sunglasses on my head.

Jan - What are you talking about?! You've totally got it going on!

carma - You scared me! And I've put my keys in the fridge before.

Pseudo - It does make one bonkers.

Mango Girl - We blame missing things on an imaginary ghost named Bobby. He is a sneaky one.

smiles4u - But do you call the dog by the kids' names?

Michel - I knew you'd like a Ms. Poopy picture!

Jules - I found that pig a few months back. He has been rather entertaining.

Kristina P. - Now I feel normal. :)

Scary Mommy - Uh oh! That is hilarious!

Chief - Actually, we eat salad a lot! Usually it is right out of the bag. With guests, I wanted to gussy it up a bit.

A Mom on Spin - My favorite saying on the board was "Look Behind You" because everyone did. I'm lame, I know.

only a movie - I forget why I'm in a room ALL the time!

Kitchen tip:

My mother discovered that all of us ate more salad if she put the salad into individual serving bowls instead of one big bowl. Otherwise, most of the time the big bowl would go ignored for the more delicious parts of the meal and the lettuce and veggies would wilt.

All I can do is chuckle. Because really...at the mere age of 23 I too am losing it. Between searching for my keys for over an hour as I am holding them in my hand, to putting the milk away in the pantry. Dear Lord let me not lose my mind completely!
